Drivecam has an 180-degree view and continuously monitors everything that happens in front of the windshield. This digital video recording device is constantly on the lookout but it only records when an event occurs. If the threshold level of G-forces on the vehicle is exceeded, the camera starts recording. Such events can be caused by collision, hard braking, hard cornering or even rapid acceleration.

Drivecam is set to record a 20-second audio/video clip of an event that happens in front of the windshield. The 20-second clip starts 10 seconds before the event and continues 10 seconds after the event and it is saved on a memory database. The clip is downloaded into our company’s computers after the vehicle is brought for daily maintenance and reviewed by the fleet supervisor and the driver.

Drivecam only records events that happen in the front windshield. The privacy of our passengers will not be compromised in any way.
