Where to Watch New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Los Angeles

Posted on: December 27th, 2016

New Year’s Day signifies a new beginning for many, a fresh start and a meaningful celebration of the year before. As such, this holiday provides an opportunity to get together with friends and family for a memorable celebration. Living in a city like Los Angeles, there is never a shortage of celebrations or parties. It’s a city where people know how to enjoy themselves. This New Year’s Eve will provide many opportunities to watch the fireworks from classic LA vantage points surrounded by those who matter to you after a full night of celebration. Here are some suggestions as to where to watch the fireworks come the evening of December 31st:

  1. Hollywood Bowl – Perhaps one of the most iconic vantage points for fireworks in all of L.A. It provides a great view of the greater Los Angeles area and all of the fireworks that will be happening. A few hundred yards away from the classic Hollywood sign and a venue that has hosted the biggest names in music including the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. What’s better than ringing in your new year with that?

  1. Knott’s Merry Farm – The folks over at the Knott’s Berry Farm take the holiday season seriously. Including their extended hours from 10am until 1:00am Jan 1st, there will be a host of live music acts, DJ’s, and a massive firework display to finish it all off. There may not be a better party to be a part of this year than this one.

  1. Marina del Rey – The city will have firework displays at 9pm and again at midnight. Along with harbor views and a myriad of upscale dining options, Marina del Rey may provide a great date spot come this NYE. Plenty of beach views are available for free as well for larger groups.

  1. New Year’s Eve at Disneyland – Sure, this one may be a bit cliché and more enjoyable if you have children, but even then, there’s a certain magic to ringing in the new year from the “most magical place on Earth.” There will be two separate firework shows at 9pm and again at midnight, providing a spectacular and iconic view of Sleeping Beauty’s castle. Multiple DJ’s and dance parties have also been promised by the theme park. Who doesn’t want to dance through the night alongside Mickey Mouse and Minnie, right?

  1. Long Beach – Watch the fireworks display aboard the Queen Mary or find a comfortable spot on the Belmont pier as the clock strikes midnight. Long Beach is one place that will provide a memorable New Year’s Eve for couples and large groups alike.
