It’s time to paint the town green again with festive shamrock-colored clothes and accessories. 2018 is here and St. Patrick’s Day is another reason to live it up at some of the most interesting events of the year. St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Festival

 Bring the whole family along for the 38th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival at Balboa Park. Get decked up in green and every other color under the rainbow and be there by 10:30 a.m. to enjoy all the fun and cheer on this special day. With over 120 parade entries gearing up to showcase their best, the road will be filled with dance troupes, colorful floats and various high school marching bands. After the parade, you can head over to the Celtic Food Village and enjoy all the Irish specialties your heart desires.

St. Patrick’s Day at Pretend City

 Who says St. Patrick’s Day is only about drinking? Well, children deserve to have some fun too and they can find it at Pretend City Children’s Museum. Here, they’ll get to enjoy story time, arts and crafts, as well as other fun activities related to St. Patrick’s Day. Themed activities such as the End of the Rainbow Treasure Hunt are bound to keep them entertained for hours on end. Remember to dress in green for a great deal of fun!

Whiskey Red’s Restaurant St. Patrick’s Day Patio Party!

The party on St. Patrick’s Day definitely starts early and Whiskey Red’s Restaurant is no exception. Make your way down to Fiji Way and cool down on the largest waterfront patio on the Marina. St. Patrick’s Day Clean-up @ Gonzales Canyon

Although it’s true that St. Patrick’s Day is a time to celebrate and have fun, you don’t necessarily have to get dead drunk to enjoy yourself. San Diego Canyonlands is preparing for a cleanup at Gonzales Canyon and everyone’s invited for a hike in the vast and peaceful canyon. Keep the neighborhood clean and the environment safer by volunteering to keep the trails clear and remove any trash you see along your hike.
